Rafterhouse 6402, Austin King
Austin King grew up in a house filled with design. His mother, Gera King was a Scottsdale Community College legend, teaching interior design, mentoring many of today’s most successful Arizona interior designers. Austin King had a passion for professional cycling, but when he was ready for a career change, he turned to home building, founding Rafterhouse in 2012 and flipping distressed houses in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. Soon King offered new construction and interior design services in-house, working with top architects. Rafterhouse recently secured a prime corner lot in Arcadia with a client for a major residential project. Working with architect Jim Blochberger, King’s Rafterhouse team created a modern home suited to the Arcadia neighborhood and the high-profile Exeter Boulevard site.
