Design Icon – Landscape

Veronica Luna is an emerging talent in landscape design, recognized with the 2024 Emerging Professional of The Year Award from the Arizona chapter of ASLA. Her volunteer work with AZASLA and her design work with Tempe-based ABLA—where she is a project manager—were recognized for its content and contributions to our community. Growing up on the border in Texas gives Luna a unique vision of the landscape and its possibilities. Public park life on the Rio Grande inspired her to see landscape as a connector of people and nature. Luna’s work at ABLA follows those principles. She helps create master plans, parks and lifestyle amenities for neighborhoods across Arizona. ABLA’s talented and prestigious team of architects, planners and designers is acclaimed for skills in envisioning and creating landscape spaces that enhance our quality of life and make the spaces where memories are made.
